How to setup a chessgame and to move the pieces? A chesscame contents a board with 64 squares (32 light and 32 dark ones) and 32 pieces (16 white and 16 black ones).The pieces have a different value, there is one king, one queen, two rooks, two bishops, two knights and eight pawns of each party.White makes the beginning move. Dont dispair if u couldn`t get the rules at once, each beginning is difficult. Sure you will get it soon. 

A chessboard is a chequered one with 64 squares, 32 light and 32 dark ones. It contents 8 rows with each has 8 squares (see graphic). There are 8 horizontal and 8 vertical lines. The horizontal lines (ranks) have the letters a-h, the vertical ones (files) the numbers 1-8. This is called “notation”. Each square has it`s own “name”.
